Transportation

Overview
Transportation during an emergency may be difficult since fuel and electricity may be unavailable.
Emergency Transportation Ideas
Human Powered
Walk or bicycle if you're not going far.
Store gasoline
Do a transportation survey to determine how far you need to travel each day, and multiply by the length of emergency you wish to plan for. This is inherently inefficient. Auto engines are only about 15% efficient.
Electric bicycles or cars can help extend commuting range if you live in a small community, and they're cheap. They will require a source of energy, however.
